I went to Five Guys located at 823 Bridgeport Avenue, Shelton, on February 22, 2025. First, I do not recommend anyone with peanut allergies try this restaurant because they use peanut oil to cook their food. I do not have a peanut allergy myself, and had an excellent experience going to this fast-food establishment.
I like the layout of this restaurant. They have a side door next to an outdoor area where you can eat your food while sitting at a table under an umbrella. I found it peaceful in the outside area. Inside, there are a bunch of wooden chairs and tables around the outskirts of the restaurant. In the middle of the restaurant, there is an assortment of nuts that you can hand-pick to eat.

I found the employees to be nice and respectful when taking my order and giving me my food. I also saw that the staff worked well together and there was a lot of communication in the kitchen. I got my food relatively quickly and there were no complications with my order.
I will say the price to feed a family was a little expensive, but the food was really good. I got a bacon-dog, bacon cheeseburger, fries, and an Oreo cookie milkshake.
The food itself looked a little greasy, but it was less greasy than I thought. Overall, I enjoyed all of the food I ordered and the milkshake was the perfect way to finish off the meal.
For cleanliness, there were some spots on the floor with crushed peanuts, but other than that it was a clean establishment.

The menu contains hotdogs, regular burgers with double patties, and little burgers (which contain a single patty), fries, milkshakes, soda, grilled cheese, and a bacon-lettuce-tomato sandwich (BLT). They also have a veggie sandwich and cheese veggie sandwich, but they make it clear it is not a veggie burger. The potatoes used for the fries come fresh every day from different farms. Again, they cook everything in peanut oil, therefore, I do not recommend anyone with peanut allergies to eat here.
I had a really good experience going to Five Guys with all of the factors that included the location, environment, employees, and food. The only thing that would be a slight concern is the price, but aside from that I would definitely go back and I recommend people take a visit and check it out.
