As students geared up for a much-anticipated spring break, school spirit took center stage during the pep rally on Friday, April 11. Held in the DHS gymnasium, this event brought the whole student body together for an afternoon of fun games and friendly competition. Organized by the student council, the pep rally was intended to send students into break with a smile, and it delivered.

The gym buzzed with excitement as students cheered on their classmates during a series of high-energy games.

Tug of war was a crowd favorite, with students from each grade battling it out in a test of strength and teamwork, with the sophomores winning in the end.

Tons of laughter echoed off the walls during the scavenger hunt, as students raced to get wacky items from their respective sections around the gym.

Another highlight was “Guess the song,” where students had to identify popular Disney tunes after hearing just a few seconds of the intro.

While the sophomores were the ones who won in the end, the games weren’t just about winning. They were about bringing the school together and celebrating the energy that comes with the changing season. As the rally came to a close, students left the gym with smiles on their faces and stories to tell. With excitement still in the air, it was the perfect kickoff to a well-deserved break.
