I recently went to Colony Grill located on 36 Broad St, Milford CT on Feb. 3, 2026, to see if their pizza is as good as they say. Entering Colony Grill, the atmosphere felt like a warm and cozy spot to eat and have a good time with your friends. It is known for its ultra-thin pies and signature hot-oil topping.

The service was fairly quick. I was greeted by a host who brought us to our table right away. Surprisingly, there was no wait, which was nice because at Colony, there usually is a wait. My waitress was respectful, and she was always there when I needed anything. I chose to get a Shirley Temple that was bubbly and sweet, topped with the perfect amount of grenadine.

I got their signature Myrtle Ave Margarita Pie and Hot Oil Pie. It came with 6 ultra-thin big slices. Their Myrtle Ave Margarita pie had tomato sauce, fresh basil, and the perfect balance of mozzarella. If you are a big cheese person I would recommend the margarita with its clean flavors. Their hot oil pie is an iconic pie top with a spicy, pepper-infused hot oil that gives a strong jalapeno flavor. Both pies had a perfect crisp crust.

I will say the prices for their pizzas are fairly good prices, but it will add up to be expensive for a big family. I paid a total of almost $40 for my two pies and a drink.

I overall enjoyed my time at Colony Grill. The vibes, the food, and that amazingly good ultra-thin crust pie left me wanting to go back for more. I will definitely be going back and trying more pies. To answer the question, is Colony Grill with the hype? Yes! It is worth the hype.
